This is a unique opportunity to experience the awe of walking where Jesus walked, seeing the things Jesus saw, reading the words Jesus spoke at the places He spoke them, seeing the city of David, viewing the Valley of Armageddon, seeing where Elijah slew the false prophets, boating on the Sea of Galilee, walking the Siq into Petra, cruising the Red Sea, and so much more. You will never forget the sites and sounds of the this great country, and you will walk away understanding the Bible in a way you never knew possible.

We hope you will join us for this unforgettable journey through the pages of the Bible. You will forever read the Bible in technicolor after you have seen the land. Today we begin our life changing journey to the lands of Paul and John to explore the Bible together and absorb the ancient history.   Our overnight flights on United and Lufthansa Airlines will allow us to rest and anticipate the days ahead.

Upon arrival in Athens, we tour the city and enjoy free time after dinner to soak in the culture and shopping at the Plaka. The next two nights will be spent in our hotel overlooking the Parthenon.

Day 3:  Athens and Corinth
The splendor of ancient Athens awaits us as we climb the Acropolis, and the Parthenon stopping along the way on Mars Hill overlooking Athens where Paul gave his famous sermon in Acts 17.  Our tour continues to the Agora, the ancient market place and center of public life, passing the House of Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Solder, and the Presidential Palace.  We drive to Corinth, viewing the canal on our way to this magnificent city of ruins, history, and Biblical importance.  After enjoying the Archeological Museum, we walk in the steps of Paul to see the ruins where Paul preached, sit on the Bema Seat, stroll the marketplace and temples, and begin to comprehend why Paul wrote two significant books to these people who lived in licentiousness.

Day 4:  Cruise -  Mykonos
Saying good-bye to the mainland, we transfer to Piraeus to board our ship for the Aegean Sea.  A relaxing day of fellowship, Bible study, rest, or activities awaits us on our way to Mykonos.  This  quaint island, known as the isle of windmills, preserves the real Greek flavor of whitewashed buildings, cozy streets, and charming shops by the sea.  We enjoy dinner and entertainment onboard.

Day 5:  Cruise - Rhodes
We awaken in the harbor of Rhodes, where Paul landed in Acts 21:1 and where once stood the Colossus, one of the 7 Wonders of the World.  We stroll down the ancient city built by the crusader knights of Saint John and drive to Lindos with its sandy beaches, striking acropolis, and medieval castle.  Dinner on board the ship is followed by evening entertainment.

Day 6:  Patmos, Kusadasi, Ephesus
Our visit to Patmos begins our journey into the Book of Revelation by seeing the monastery and cave where John received God’s Word.  We spend our last hours on the shop pouring through Revelation before disembarking at Kudsadasi, Turkey and driving to Ephesus, the first church in Revelation.  This magnificent archeoligical site has miles of ancient treasures including the Agora, Library, Temple and Library.  We spend the night at Kasadasi by the sea.

Day 7:  Laodicea, Hierapolis, Pamukkale
The lukewarm church of Laodicea has ruins which include stadium and water system.  Nearby Hieropolis, the Sacred City where Philip ministered, boasts the best preserved cemetery in Turkey. Day 9:  Pergamum, Thyatira, Canakkale
Pergamum is home to the steepest theatre, the Aesclepion (medical center), the Red Basilica, and one the largest libraries which helps to understand why they held to false teachings.  The last of the 7 churches of Revelation to visit is Thyatira, the home of Lydia, where we will see a first century church and ancient roadway. Overnight will be in Canakkale.

Day 10:  Canakkale, Troas, Istanbul
Canakkale was a fortress city founded by the Ottomans and shaped like a bowl (it’s name means “bowl” and “fort”).   Troas is the city famous for Homer’s “Iliad”, the Trojan Horse (bring your cameras), Paul’s calling to spread the gospel to Europe in Acts 16:6-12, and the resurrection of Eutychus in Acts 20:6-13.  Our breathtaking ferry ride over the Dardanelles Straits viewing the hillside bunkers provides understanding of that major battle of WWI.  The beautiful summer homes line the Straits into Istanbul where we will spend the next three evenings.
