While no one knows the day or the hour when Jesus Christ will return, we can determine the signs of the times from the Word of God. Jesus' own words tell us in Matthew 16:2, 3 that we can recognize the signs of the times. The Scribes and Pharisees were testing Jesus, asking for a sign, when He responded, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather for the sky is red.' And in the morning, 'There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.' Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?" Jesus' disciples asked Him in Matthew 24:3, "when will these things be, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Jesus shared in great detail in that chapter and the following chapter what the times would look like and how to be ready for His coming. Hundreds of other passages of Scripture detail end time events.
